Sometimes the best cafes are off the main roads and a friend of mine showed me Little and Fridays newest branch in Ponsonby. It has 3 other branches around Auckland and each shows an unique flair and personality. The café is spacious, welcoming and hipster. There is plenty of carpark around here as it is away from the Main street. The menu boasts organic, free range items that definitely ticks off brunch here as a must.
It gets busy but are more than happy to accommodate. The Ponsonby branch has a separate coffee making station which was different. Prompt, fast and friendly service.
This is Ponsonby but you get very reasonable value and it is fresh, organic, made at base food. Expect to pay under $30 for a meal and a coffee. Cakes range from $4 to $7.
I haven’t had a chance to order something from their menu but I will soon! My friend and I got Flat Whites and cakes from the cabinet. My friend ordered the coffee cream donut which looked so delicious I forgot to take a picture of it! I ordered the Chocolate, Beetroot, Caramel cake and it was so rich and gooey but so decadent and luscious! It went great with my Flat white. They also have frittatas, carrot cakes and cookies but I couldn’t resist a Chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was more than enough for 3 people because it was that rich, so I had to take it back in a doggy bag to enjoy back home! Still tasted great the next day!
