I had very high expectations for this place – its been reviewed at the NZHerald and currently has a 4.3 Zomato rating (As of December 2016). Located in Grey Lynn, I drove past this place and I knew I had to check it out. Burger Burger seems to be the long running gourmet burger brand in Auckland right now but Tiger Burger is getting ready to pounce. With an East meets West fusion of Korean and Western cuisine to deliver a fresh innovative menu to ease the burger pangs – Their Double Fried Chicken Thigh burger and Kimcheese fries were nothing short of superbly amazing!
We came a little early - 5:45pm but it was already busy! Lovely and friendly staff.
This is a gourmet burger establishment so drop the McDonalds value meal mentality.
I’ve seen these guys seve their burgers since they first starting selling them in the market and they always delivered the goods. We ordered the Double Fried Chicken Thigh burger aka Gang Jeong, KimCheese Fries, KimCheese burger, Slaw and Seoulful bites. All had the right amount of flavour, serving quantity and meat that made the meal so delicious and filling – Mind you it isn’t as spicy as one would think so this is a great entry to Korean cuisine. My friends that I went with were exposed to Kimchi for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by it.
